Camp Jubilee exists to bring glory and honor to God above all. To bring restoration and rest to God’s people. To show love to the outcast. To bring joy to the hurting. To enable growth to God’s followers. To change lives forever.
Camp Jubilee was created out of the passionate belief that the life-changing experience of summer camp should be accessible to everyone and that nothing (money, geography, social status) should stop anyone from such an experience.
The name Jubilee comes from the Old Testament festival celebrating rest and recreation. God created the season of Jubilee to allow his people to pause from their regular lives and reflect on how he has provided for them and allow things to be restored to their original state.
In the same manor, our heart at Camp Jubilee is to enable our campers to see the many ways God has blessed them, rest in his presence, be restored as he makes them a new creation, and rejoice in his goodness.
The Flowing Waters - An image of God’s continual provisions for us as the psalmist describes our Good Shepherd as one who “leads me beside quiet waters.”
The Deer - A symbol of creation being restored to it’s original intention. Just as God plans to restore his creation in the new kingdom reign, he can make us new in a time of retreat and rest.
